It was only about 14 months ago that Kelly Kendrick high jumped competitively for the first time.
Already, she's perfected her skill to the point she's a WPIAL champion.
Kendrick, a junior at Chartiers-Houston High School, won the WPIAL Class AA high jump gold medal after she cleared 5 feet, 2 inches at Baldwin High School last Thursday.
